Kōri Treats is an ice cream brand that focuses on making the in-store experience fun and interactive. The project included making a full visual identity system that includes a logo, mascot, icons, patterns, and packaging that all work together across both physical and digital mediums. The goal was to create a brand that families and younger people would find interesting and memorable.

Approach
I started by researching existing ice cream brands and was inspired by Little Moons, especially how they use different colors to represent each flavor. I wanted to bring a similar idea into my own brand. I explored several logo concepts and chose a rounded fox icon to match the soft, friendly feel I was aiming for. I paired this with the Amifer typeface, adjusting it slightly to better fit the overall style.
The name Kōri comes from the Japanese word for ice, which helped guide the visual direction. I used bright, vibrant colors to reflect different flavors, with blue as the main color to suggest coolness, cleanliness, and quality. The mascot uses an anime-inspired style, adding personality while still fitting within the overall look of the brand.
The final identity system is designed to scale across packaging, signage, and merchandise while staying consistent and memorable. The use of color also allows for different flavor variations to be used across product lines. Elements like mascots and icons support both the visual style and functionality of the brand, helping guide users while reinforcing its playful personality.
Through this process, I developed a better understanding of how to build a flexible design system and how small decisions, like color and icon clarity, can impact both usability and overall brand consistency.
